Sheridan Johnson (Viola)
Sheridan moved to NM by way of CA and NY; she is a graduate of St. Andrews University in Scotland. She was last seen in Santa Fe at the Lensic in “Queen of Madison Avenue” alongside Ali MacGraw. Past credits include “Venus in Fur” (Vanda, Best Play 2013, ABQ Journal), “Hedda Gabler” (Hedda), “A Midsummer Night Dream” (Helena), and “An Ideal Husband” (Mrs. Chevely, 4 Stars, TimeOut London). She is the Artistic Director and Founder of Threshold Art Collective and wants to thank each and every one of you for your support in this amazing adventure.
Dave McDowell (Antonio/ Valentine)
Dave McDowell has performed in Man Of La Mancha, The Merchant Of Venice, The Lion In Winter, Hamlet, One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest, King John, Othello, Romeo And Juliet, Measure For Measure, The Crucible and A Man For All Seasons here in New Mexico. Roles in California include Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, The Lament for Arthur Cleary, and Reckless, The Rivals and The Good Person of Szechuan at Berkeley Repertory Theatre. In San Francisco he was a co-founder, writer, director and actor with Armitage Shanks, an arts and performing co-op. He has also performed in The Elephant Man, Oedipus Rex, Frankenstein - A Comedy, The Taming of the Shrew, Angels Fall, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, Fortune and Men's Eyes and Chicago.
Sara Gmitter (Olivia)
Sara Gmitter most recently appeared as Celia in the Santa Fe Shakespeare Society's production of As You Like It. She is also a playwright whose play, In the Garden: A Darwinian Love Story (Lookingglass Theatre Company, Chicago) was nominated for a Joseph Jefferson Award for Best New Work.
Merritt Glover (Maria)
A native New Mexican, Merritt is grateful to take the stage with such an incredibly talented group of people. Theatrical roles include: Gabriella in Boeing Boeing(Aux Dog), Trisha in Five Women Wearing The Same Dress and Carly in Reason's To Be Pretty (both Duke City Repertory), Madwoman in The Madwoman of Chaillot and Jane in The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told (both Rodey Theatre, UNM), Bogle in Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol (Public Playhouse) and Wicked Witch of the West in The Wizard of Oz (NWCT, Portland). TV credits: Manh(a)ttan, Breaking Bad, Longmire, In Plain Sight. Film credits: Deputy Sheriff in Condemned 2, Camille in Missing You, Mom in Christmas Kiss and Verna in RotGut. Without the selfless support from her dear family and friends, and Carissa and Tina, the pursuit of her craft would not be possible. Namaste to them and all of you for helping keep the voice of art and the human condition alive.
Brennan Foster (Orsino)
Brennan Foster's last Santa Fe appearance was Venus in Fur with Sheridan Johnson. Recent work includes Gibraltar and the title role in James Cady's Hamlet. Television: "Breaking Bad", "Gunslingers" and the upcoming USA Network event miniseries, "Dig." He is a co-founder of Threshold Arts Collective and the Dark Matters Film Festival.
Vanessa Rios (Feste)
Vanessa Rios y Valles was last seen onstage at the Southwest Irish Theater Festival in Molly Sweeney. She holds a BFA in acting from the College of Santa Fe and has also trained in London at the British-American Drama Academy. Vanessa left Santa Fe in 1993 to co-found an ensemble theater company in Portland, Oregon, which developed, into the critically acclaimed Other Side Theater. Here she performed and directed for 7 years before returning to The Land of Enchantment. Vanessa is a permanent company member with Theaterwork.
Stephen Zamora (Malvolio)
Stephen spent the 80’s & 90’s in acting, on-air radio, TV & radio production, and is excited to be back to acting and working with Director Quinn Mander, and his talented cast and crew. Recent stage credits include: Walter Cunningham (To Kill a Mockingbird) A.L.T. Major Metcalf (The Mousetrap) A.L.T. The Mayor (Front Page) Vortex, "Grits" (Lost Letter) Adobe, Sgt. Match (What the Butler Saw) Morgan-Wixson Theatre.
Micah Linford (Andrew Aguecheek)
Micah's last Shakespearean role was Oberon in "A Midsummer Night's Dream". Prior to that, he has portrayed Lorenzo in "The Merchant of Venice", Benvolio in "Romeo & Juliet", Clarence in "Richard III" and, most notably, as the title role in "Macbeth"
Liz West (Costume Designer)
Liz West is currently working as costume designer for the upcoming production “The 12th Knight”. She is simultaneously working as extras casting assistant.
Liz recently moved to Albuquerque from the East Coast. For the last 4 years, Liz coached and developed a highly competitive sales team for Nordstrom. She is passionate about fashion and dedicated to her craft. Liz is an adventurous team player willing to take risks to make things happen.
Tim Riley (Sea Captain/ Officer)
Tim Riley hails from the great state of Indiana and got his start in show business via commercial radio. Since moving to New Mexico Tim has benefitted from an education in theatre working along side some of the best actors and directors in the state. Tim has appeared in 'Dial 'M For Murder', 'Witness For The Prosecution', 'Macbeth', 'Death Of A Salesman', 'The Front Page', 'Lost Letter' ', All My Sons' and the 'The Mousetrap'.
Quinn Mander (Sebastian)
Quinn Mander (Director/Sebastian) received his MFA in Acting from Rutgers University's Mason Gross School of the Arts. Most recently, he directed the successful and well-received production The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds at The Santa Fe Playhouse. He has acted in New York, Santa Fe, and regionally. Local roles have included Bradley in Buried Child for Ironweed Productions, Bob Cratchit in The Santa Fe Playhouse's production of A Christmas Carol (Directed by the wonderful and dearly missed Dan Gerrity), and Jaques in The Santa Fe Shakespeare Society's production of As You Like It. Other favorite roles include: Robert in Betrayal, Valmont in Les Liaisons Dangereuses, and King Henry in Henry V. He is thrilled, honored and humbled to have been asked to join Threshold on this production, and to have the opportunity to work with an incredible group of theatrical artists on a project filled with so much love and heart.
George Williams (Sir Toby)
George Williams (Sir Toby Belch) returned to New Mexico three years ago, and has been very active in the Albuquerque theater community as a writer, actor and director. His full length play “Lost Letter” was produced at The Adobe Theater in 2013 to large audiences and appreciative reviewers. George has two more scripts ready for production, “Erased” (a family drama) and “Sanctuary” (a medieval murder mystery). He is currently directing “The Night Thoreau Spent In Jail” for The Adobe, opening January 9th, 2015.
Elyse Garlinger (Technical Director / Lighting Designer)
Elyse Garlinger has been involved in theatre for almost all of her life. In high school she discovered her passion for technical theatre and design and has been working on this passion ever since. She attended the University of New Mexico majoring in Design for Performance for 5 years as well as The University of Saint Louis-Missouri for 1. Recent shows she has been involved in include ASM for Little Shop of Horrors, Lighting Design for Rapture, Blister, Burn, and Lighting Design for Gibraltor. Her and Sheridan are extremely excited for this new endeavor they have decided to tackle to strive toward their passions.
